Music Projects
My life changed over a decade ago when I learned that the music I loved could be made on my home computer. Ever since then, I've honed every aspect of digital music production, evolving my skills to keep up with the rapidly changing landscape of electronic music and my own changes in taste.
Over the years of working with Cymatics, I've composed a vast corpus of original melody loops, drum sounds, one shots, and synthesizer presets for our acclaimed products. What excited me most was the challenge of making the highest quality material in genres well outside of my comfort zone. As a result, I've developed a stylistic and technical versatility that I pride myself in having today.
As our projects enlarged in scope and size, I rose to the occasion of composing, recording, mixing, and arranging complete songs that would serve as sonic billboards for the Cymatics brand. These demo mixes have since become a cornerstone of our most successful launch campaigns to date, many of which are shown here. To give them an album-like feel, I sought out and worked with elite vocalists and reference artists, incorporating their performances into our products. I believe they adequately reflect my musical range and technical prowess as a producer.
One project I'm particularly fond of was a composition I wrote for Zodiac called "Solstice," which formed the basis for Andrew Huang's YouTube video linked here. I wanted to show his massive audience that our commitment to quality and musicianship is not limited to any one style or era. Leading a collaborative effort between various session musicians, I achieved my creative vision for a record that felt authentically placed in the past. Bringing in 4 heavy-hitting geniuses to work their magic was the final piece of the puzzle for a truly compelling piece of brand storytelling. Zodiac remains one of our best performing products to date - a result I'm very proud of.
